The Commercial Contract Manager (Oil & Gas) will be responsible for growing our current business by securing contracts with new customers. The role will focus on contract negotiations, risk mitigation, strategic planning, and overall business growth. This role also requires a candidate who has recently worked as a contracting agent at a refinery. Negotiates contract terms with new customers successfully Understands customer contract limitations and how to work within them, while protecting risks Communicates to business managers the strategic risks necessary to acquire new customers Develops and communicates strategies with business managers to manage risks Collaborates with and coordinates diverse teams (business managers, Legal, Sales, etc.) Turns legal redlines into customer-facing documents with commentary and priorities listed Works relentlessly to build and maintain beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders Assists sales with customer relationships and strategies to obtain MSAs with new customers Ensures compliance with contracting guidelines or obtains deviations when necessary Develops and implements commercial strategies, meeting company goals and objectives These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry 4 years of recent work experience as a refinery contracting agent is required Excellent instincts and commercial awareness coupled with a strategic mindset Strong organizational and leadership skills Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Must have strong negotiation skills Possess a collaborative mindset and works well as part of a team Superior time management abilities and capable of meeting deadlines Up to date on industry trends, as well as laws and regulations Ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry contacts Great multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail
