The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Department at Mirror Lake has an opening for an Environmental Engineer. This position evaluates the applicability of federal, state, and local environmental regulations to company operations and develops written programs that help ensure compliance. This position also uses engineering practices to address environmental issues, including efficiency, resource management, and public policy compliance. The person selected will provide engineering guidance regarding environmentally-related activities, complete environmental permitting and compliance documentation for assigned facilities, and inspect industrial facilities and programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The person chosen will facilitate the implementation of facility environmental plans and programs and assist facilities with waste management decision making including proper procedures for onsite/offsite handling and treatment and disposal alternatives. A degree in engineering with at least seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in the environmental compliance field is required. P.E., P.G., QEP, CHMM or CSP credentials (or currently working to attain) are preferred. Working knowledge of federal environmental regulations regarding air emissions, water discharge permits, and hazardous waste management and disposal is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
