The Head of Environmental Sustainability will work closely with Callon's senior leadership team to support the development and execution of the company's comprehensive environmental strategy. This newly created role will work closely with the EHS, Legal, Strategic Planning, Sustainability Communications and IR teams to evolve the Company's environmental performance, areas of focus, risk management and disclosures.


Lead key initiatives to advance the company's near-term and long-range environmental strategy including evaluation of net zero initiatives, responsible sourcing, emerging environmental technologies including measuring and monitoring, and evolving stakeholder expectations.
Work closely with EHS and Operations to develop the Company's environmental regulatory compliance programs to establish compliance expectations and processes for evolving environmental regulations and enforcement from EPA, SEC, State and other regulatory bodies; participate in employee engagement and adoption initiatives.
Lead the Company's cross-functional climate risk assessment initiatives and scenario analysis.
Partner with EHS and Sustainability Management Committee to develop GHG emissions reduction goals and achieve program objectives, including benchmarking.
Coordinate Company advocacy on emerging public policy and environmental issues.
Participate as a member of Callon's Sustainability Management Committee.
Communicate external developments on environmental compliance and stakeholder expectations to key internal stakeholders including the Sustainability Management Committee.
Support company Sustainability & ESG disclosures including responses to stakeholder inquiries as well as external ratings agencies.


Bachelor's Degree in a related field
8+ years working in a similar capacity in the oil and gas industry preferred
Broad knowledge of GHG emissions topics, operations, and regulatory environment for upstream operators.
Understanding of evolving industry landscape, including investor, stakeholder and policymaker expectations.
Strategic thinker with advanced verbal/written communications and presentation skills.
Ability to articulate and communicate complex concepts into simple terms clearly and succinctly.
Aptitude to educate, persuade and inspire people into action.
Exceptional project management skills and experience working with people across functions and all levels of seniority.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and deliver high-quality work with attention to details.
Willingness to learn and manage ambiguity to drive solutions.
Entrepreneurial spirit, good judgement, diplomacy and strong ethics and integrity.
