Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Offshore Wind Environmental Compliance Observer. This is a remote position, but the field work is in a vessel on the Atlantic Ocean deploying from Boston, MA, New York, NY and Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to the following:

* Performs standard scientific work requiring application of techniques and procedures.

* Detects problems when using standardized procedures because of the condition of sample, difficulties with the equipment, etc.

* Conducts specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists.

* Proposes appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assists in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.

* Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.

* Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.

* Assists in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge.

* Works under general supervision.

Minimum Requirements

* BA/BS in environmental science, biology, geology, or a related field.

* 2+ years as a field environmental inspector and/or field natural resource scientist with construction oversight experience and/or education.

* Valid Driver's License required

* US Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications

* 5+ years of prior experience as a field environmental inspector and/or field natural resource scientist with construction oversight experience.

* The ability to work extended hours and at times overnight construction is desirable.

* Offshore ECMs that have offshore survey/safety certifications also desirable.

Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to provide the following compensation and benefits information for positions that may be performed in Colorado:

Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. (For executive level positions: Bonus opportunities are tied to both company and individual performance and vary from year-to-year.) The salary range for this position is: $47,000 - $65,000.
