In the Office of the CTO, we are focused on bringing Applied Materials innovations to new and adjacent markets. Our Engineered Optics team is creating new super thin (sub micron) optical surfaces based on nanometer-sized structures on transparent substrates (known as "metasurface based optics" or "flat optics"), which manipulate light in the deep sub wavelength domain and enable previously impossible capabilities. These components will be the most fundamental change in optics in hundreds of years and could be deployed in AR/VR devices, cameras, projectors, sensors, and a host of yet to be imagined opportunities - there is endless potential. Our dedicated and talented team is working to perfect this new technology and we are actively recruiting a Process Yield Engineer with a Master's degree or higher, or equivalent learning in optics, physics, or Materials Science discipline and extensive experience doing optical product yield engineering. Responsibilities: Work closely with design, process, and metrology modules to improve product yield of AR display and other nanophotonic devices Working with metrology and process team to improve process stability and capability End-to-end data analysis and correlation of optical performance with in-line process monitoring Education and Experience: PhD/Master's in Optics, Physics or Material Science 5-10 years of industrial experience doing optical product yield engineering Proficient doing data analysis using JMP or other scripting languages Background in optical display and familiar with semiconductor processes Qualifications Education: Master's Degree: Physics Skills Certifications: Languages: Years of Experience: 10 - 15 Years Work Experience: Additional Information Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time Relocation Eligible: Yes Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
