Ameresco is seeking Project Manager to support the development and implementation of projects located nationwide, specifically; renewable natural gas (RNG) projects utilizing biomethane sources including landfill gas, wastewater treatment anaerobic digester gas, or agricultural anaerobic digester gas that is processed to achieve pipeline quality standards. This position is based at an Ameresco office location in Portland ME, Framingham, MA, or Charlotte NC, but other locations may be considered.

Responsibilities:

Manage projects with a multidiscipline team including project development, engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations;

Maintain overall responsibility for project schedule and budget throughout life of project;

Interact and coordinate activities with internal development, engineering, and construction teams throughout the project;

Provide project reporting to internal management and external customers;

Communicate and critical path items to management in a timely manner;

Identify opportunities to value engineer proposed designs;

Complete project close-out in a timely manner;

Collaborate with project development team;

Review and respond to customer requests and RFP's;

Assess project viability and risks;

Negotiate project agreements and utility agreements;

Evaluate utility requirements;

Evaluate gas resource and quality requirements;

Evaluate gas interconnection and pipeline options;

Evaluate technology requirements;

Identify permit requirements and develop permit action plan;

Manage and hire consultants to support development and permitting;

Prepare preliminary schedule and budget;

Develop project execution plan;

Collaborate with project engineering and construction team;

Develop design basis and project sizing;

Select process technology and manage drawing reviews;

Finalize engineering and procurement budget;

Manage equipment procurements, schedule and budget;

Select engineering consultants and manage engineering deliverables;

Manage progress meetings, engineering deliverables, schedule and budget;

Participate in hazard reviews and ensure safe design;

Ensure code, permit and contract compliance;

Develop commissioning plan;

Develop and manage construction schedule and implementation plan;

Submit and receive construction permits;

Finalize construction budget;

Identify construction labor and permit requirements;

Identify and set in place internal staffing resources and temporary facilities;

Ensure permit, code, and contract compliance during construction;

Prepare RFP's and select and negotiate construction subcontracts;

Manage construction completion, commissioning, and Acceptance Testing and Project close-out;

Provide ongoing support for operating projects including troubleshooting, training, outage planning and documentation preparation; and

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification:

BSME, BSChE or equivalent four-year technical engineering degree (preferred)

Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in energy projects, power generation or the industrial area.

Advanced computer applications skills (Microsoft), including AutoCAD, Project, Excel, Bluebeam and Smartsheets.

Experience in developing project schedules utilizing Microsoft project.

Additional Qualifications:

Ability to successfully complete training and testing required for the position.

Ability to work as part of a team and act quickly with minimal supervision.

Proven ability to manage and complete complex projects in a timely, cost-effective manner.

Demonstrated ability to interact and work with multi-functional teams including sales, customers, equipment vendors, contractors, multi-discipline engineers and utilities.

Excellent organization skills including ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.

Strong verbal, written, computer communication and technical presentation skills.

Willingness to travel to jobsite during, development construction, commissioning and operations

Current Professional Engineer (PE) registration or EIT (preferred).

Oil and gas industry experience including gas compression and/or separation.

Demonstrated electrical, mechanical process, and control systems aptitude.

Experience working with complex contracts and financing arrangements.

Experience working in equipment fabrication and construction.

Valid Driver License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
