You will be accountable for sales of Instrumentation in Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (PAMA), Houston, Texas, driving sales volumes and margins. You will drive the Regional Upstream & Midstream business by continuing to spread the value message of the ABB portfolio with our End Users and work with our Channel Partners to deliver best in class solutions with strong regional support. Consult with the End User to define project goals, design a solution that meets or exceeds stated goals and ensure the ABB solution is implemented successfully. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously drive segment performance.

Sales Manager, West Region

Your responsibilities

Technical: Earn a "Trusted Advisor" role with our Channels and End Users by consultatively providing ABB solutions to our customers that solve problems, reduce cost and enable operational efficiency
Drive business in a strategically important growth segments by leveraging relationships, identifying the corporate landscape & player map, understanding the corporate visions as well as how it relates to the field assets, providing key connection points between regions to build on successes to promote growth and acceptance of a full breadth of ABB products. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously drive segment performance
Targets: Responsible for achieving key targets (example volume, price and mix) for Upstream and Midstream business in Houston Region
Strategy: Implement and review account strategies with region specific action plans
Marketing: Communicates the end user value proposition for O&G industry (internally and externally). Supports the local Sales organization to have an effective
perception in the business. Creates and implements the communication, promotion and training activities in the segment for region
Customer relationship: Builds and maintains strong relationships with the key customers in Houston Region. Follows up ABB's performance in fulfilling their needs and communicates deficiencies and/or opportunities to the respective Business Units/Product Groups

Your background

Associates Degree in technology or similar subject matter preferred with
Combined 4 years of experience in sales through direct and or indirect channel partners or distribution
Ability to develop and implement structured sales processes and strategies that improve efficiency and lead to winning
Intense competitor knowledge; Passion for selling and winning
Resilience to overcome rejection
Obsessive focus on end users, their wants and needs, their goals and objectives, how they buy, how they maintain their equipment, how they partner with suppliers
Ability to develop relationships at all levels in ABB, our channel partners and our end users (from field personnel to corner office)
Solid understanding of instrumentation and level technology and markets
Good time / activity and priority management skills
Leverage your existing relationships in the industry to bring new selling opportunities to ABB
