As Kaiyo embarks its journey from a start-up to a well-established company, it is looking to create a Quality and training organization. This is a unique opportunity to grow with the company while building this organization ground up. This role will be responsible for delivering best in industry first pass yields for all Kaiyo's operation processes, eliminate concessions and damages, and develop a strong training program for the company. This role will initially require tactical efforts to really understand the gaps and address them to facilitate immediate growth of the company while strategically developing the program and building the team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define inventory health management program. Create audits to measure the defined inventory health to be performed on daily, weekly and/or any other frequency. Validate the audit effectiveness and continuously improve the audit mechanisms. Based on the collected data, take appropriate actions to improve the inventory health.
  • Develop KPIs to measure the first pass yield for all processes, establish the thresholds, and drive actions to continuously improve the first pass yield
  • Develop the training programs for all operational processes/roles, ensure quality of training and adherence on the floor/field
  • Develop and execute the training plans for peak seasons and new launch sites
  • Utilize the developed KPIs to form actions which reduce damages within processes and overall customer concessions
  • Data analysis and influencing the site leaders to make changes based on data
  • Ensure right level of training is provided to all associates
  • Create performance and scorecard for the trainers/learning department and drive training performance improvement
  • Develop process to ensure the trainings stay relevant and up to date
  • Regularly deep dive the frequent process issues and develop and implement long term fixes
  • 80% on-site (Teterboro NJ) 20% traveling to other facilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or business, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in the quality and training departments. Prior experience in Startup environment building department ground up is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
  • Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
