Resource Innovations is seeking a Small Business Energy Advisor to join our growing team in the Pacific Northwest. As a Small Business Energy Advisor with Resource Innovations, you will engage with small businesses, connecting them with available energy efficiency upgrade opportunities and maximizing participation in utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs in the Pacific Northwest.

You will make an impact by helping diverse small business get access to energy and cost saving opportunities to improve their businesses. Key duties include outreach to potential customers, responding to inquiries, conducting necessary project assessments and inspections, and working with contractors to facilitate projects as needed.

This position will serve west coast utility clients and the ideal candidate will reside in the Portland, Oregon general area or in Southwestern Washington. Some same day and overnight travel are anticipated for in person meetings and engagements with customers and to conduct site assessments and inspections.

Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.

Identify project opportunities and connect customers with Trade Ally Network contractors.

Conduct project scoping, site assessments, and installation inspections.

Promptly and professionally respond to inquiries and questions from customers.

Other duties as assigned.

Develops short- and long-term outreach and client collaboration plans to effectively execute the program delivery strategy and support the achievement of program goals

Identifies, tracks, and monitors goals progress and assists in generating leads from direct outreach activities

Provides ongoing support and collaboration to team members and key stakeholders

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience with utility energy efficiency or customer solution programs.

Knowledgeable about energy efficiency strategies, especially energy efficiency in the Pacific Northwest.

A background in construction, HVAC, mechanical, utility Demand Side Management (DSM), energy efficiency design, or other building-related experience is preferred.

Able to learn new tools and technologies quickly.

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Have a valid U.S. driver's license and a personal vehicle to visit contractor and customer sites
