The Tooling Specialist role supports the repair and retrofit center operations in a warehouse environment. Duties will include: the organization, shipping & receiving, maintenance and repair of tooling and gear associated with Wind, Solar, and EV/BESS operations.


* Shipping/Receiving for tooling/equipment, while verifying documentation accuracy.
* Complete check-in documentation and inspection; verifying tooling/equipment functionality and cleanliness and recording any/ all discrepancies with incoming tooling/ equipment.
* Perform manual tasks, and work well with their hands, stand for extended periods
* Troubleshoot and identify root cause of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions on tooling/equipment
* Perform repairs or replacements of mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical components to correct malfunctions
* Read and understand electrical schematic drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
* Conduct maintenance of tooling/equipment (Cleaning, greasing, lubrication, etc.).
* Identify and remedy tooling/equipment requiring branding.
* Repair/Assemble equipment using new and re-usable parts.
* Assembly/Disassembly of tooling/equipment in repair center.
* Ensure that all service reporting, work order documents, and records are written neatly, legibly and completed correctly.
* Pay attention to detail, work in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of quality
* Technician must be aware of their surroundings and be safety-oriented, environmentally conscious, and always comply with corporate OSHA and company policies.
* Be familiar and work with various types of tools and equipment.
* Maintain accurate inventory and traceability of tooling and equipment.
* Drive and operate a forklift safely.
* Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.


* 5 years of progressive experience in the wind/solar industry, or equivalent
* Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, or Technical Certification in Wind Energy or related field preferred.
* Previous Wind Turbine installation, repair, and/or diagnostic experience preferred.
* Experience with heavy equipment required for site maintenance.
* Working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements.
* Working knowledge of PPE and safety equipment requirements.
* Working knowledge of tooling/equipment purpose and functionality.
* Possess computer knowledge/skills, including MS Office.
