Nevada Gold Mines is seeking to hire an Underground Engineer for the Turquoise Ridge mining operations. The Underground Engineer will develop, implement, and manage mine plans for the development and exploitation of economically minable ore resrves, coordinate production, and engineering activities (backfill, ventilation, utilities, QA/QC, ground support, etc.)Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience requiredOne (1) to two (2) years of experience in the mining industry with exposure to underhand drift and fill and long-hole stoping preferredKnowledge of underground mining methods and design preferredKnowledge and experience with underground design tools, specifically Deswik .sched and .CAD and Vulcan preferredStrong computer skills requiredDemonstrated ability to interact with both engineering and operational teams outside of the direct organizational structure required. The candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization in both written and verbal means.Demonstrated capacity to execute and hold self and others accountable for results requiredThe right candidate must be willing to rotate into new positions as development opportunities come available
