Position Overview

There is nothing in our inventory as valuable as the associates who carry our reputation into the marketplace. The training we provide Sales Associate helps Arnold to keep that standing.

Essential Job Functions:

Sandvik Drill product knowledge with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Above all else, provides Silver Service to Arnold Machinery Company customers
Strategically plans marketing to provide for the customer base
Contacts customers to achieve maximum sales and profit for the company
Develops, implements, and executes a marketing plan for an assigned customer base
Prepares and delivers professional sales presentations and quotations to include the follow up necessary to secure the business
Develop and expand current customer database and update monthly
Establishes and maintains a machine ownership list of equipment owned by customers on the call list
Submits a summary of account activity every month
Provide financial counseling/marketing to the entire customer base, upon request, to facilitate sales
Ensures customers are invoiced and funds received by the Company promptly
Generates Cold Calls to develop new accounts and add to the database
Must control expenses required in transacting sales

Non-essential Job Functions:

Assist the Sales Manager with various tasks
Data entry and various office duties
Maintain a clean workspace

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Ability to sit for extended periods
Reaches to answer phones
Moves about, occasionally through uneven terrain
Read paperwork, files, and records on the computer
Communicates by phone and in-person
Bends body to file various paperwork
Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrain
Hears well enough to receive communication by radio, phone, and in-person
Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist
Remains in a standing position if required to perform various functions of the job
Climbs in and out of equipment


High School Diploma or equivalent
Related experience could be a substitution for school requirements
